Friday afternoons

I am writing in response to yet another vitriolic letter that Richard West has sent to The Southern Reporter (“Antisocial overspill”, November 20).

This time it is about the alleged antisocial behaviour of pupils on a Friday afternoon now that they are not in school.

While I cannot comment on this, I take issue with his remarks about teachers enjoying a four-and-a-half-day week.

Perhaps he could get his facts right next time. Teachers work on Friday afternoons, as they always have done.

Get a life, Mr West. You are becoming very boring.
