Fire crews have spent the night battling two major blazes at farms in the Borders.
Shortly after midnight the Scottish fire and Rescue Service was alerted to an outbreak at Purvishaugh Farm near Earlston.
Crews from Galashiels and Lauder found a large hay shed well alight and called for back-up.
They managed to prevent the flames spreading to nearby buildings but were still containing the blaze nine hours later
Shortly before 1.30am fire was discovered in an open shed containing around 500 tons of straw and hay at Longnewton Farm near St Boswells.
Crews from Jedburgh, Selkirk and Kelso tackled the blaze and relief crews were still fighting the fire mid-morning.
Both fires are being investigated by police and fire officers.
