On Saturday, February 7, Borders College campus at Newtown St Boswells is hosting an open morning for anyone interested in a career in the rural industries sector.
Those interested can come along and talk to staff, look round the facilities and find out more about the range of landbased opportunities available.
The wide range of courses on offer include landbased services engineering, agriculture, gamekeeping, horse care, animal care, horticulture and landscaping at a range of different levels, and staff representing these courses will be at the event.
If you would like to work outdoors but are not sure which direction to take, the college has an introduction to landbased industries course that gives students a taste of the different types of employment available in the landbased sector. All courses include work placement opportunities.
The event will run from 10am-noon. Course tutors, student advisors and admissions staff will be on hand to answer any questions.
So whether you have applied, are thinking of applying or are just interested and would like to see around the campus, come along and feel free to bring family or friends with you.
