A harvest thanksgiving service will be held in Legerwood Parish Church on October 6 at 10am.

Morebattle School was the first this session to tackle the Route March from Leaderfoot to Newstead on a slightly drizzly morning and against a mistily invisible Eildon Hill North in the distance. Then it was into Melrose for the museum quiz tour, costumes and an al fresco lunch in the playpark. There was a good group for the Trimontium Walk last Thursday, a five-euro note was donated at the cash desk and there was the beginnings of the programme for the young intern – being shared with Scottish Borders Council Museums.
