Woman jailed for stealing clothes from Jedburgh pensioner
A woman has been jailed for eight months after admitting carrying out a theft at an elderly woman’s home in Jedburgh.
Elizabeth McLean, 40, of Lothian Road in Jedburgh, had initially denied stealing clothes from a property in the town’s Under Nag’s Head Close, off Castlegate, in May, but she changed her plea to guilty at an intermediate hearing.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court was told there had been a full recovery of the clothing stolen by McLean.
