Natasha Brown,20, admitted that offence and also owned up to shouting and swearing and leaning on the bonnet of the woman’s car and kicking it on June 6.

Defence lawyer Mat Patrick told Jedburgh Sheriff Court the pair had been in a brief relationship but it had come to an end.

He added that his client had been drinking alcohol when the couple came across each other and that led to a dispute.

After being of good behaviour during a six-month deferral of sentence, Brown, of Cheviot Road in Hawick, was admonished.
