Witnesses urged to contact police after flytipping incident near Selkirk

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pile of rubbish was dumped on the old A7 track near Ladywood, a few miles south of Selkirk.

Included in the pile are old tyres, and what appears to be an old sign saying “Racehorses”.

It’s believed to have been dumped between Thursday, May 21 and Sunday, May 24.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are appealing for any witness to the items being dumped or anybody that recognises the items in the attached picture.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Brydon-Leigh at Hawick Police Station on 101 quoting Incident 849 on May 24.
