Thieves make off with fences and gates from Borders farmland

An investigation is under way after thieves made off with fencing and gates from a Borders field.

The goods were taken from a field at Lanton, near Jedburgh some time between Wednesday, December 4 and Friday, December 9.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A quantity of aluminium fencing and two gates were stolen from a trailer located in a field near Lanton.

“We would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious.

“If you have any information that may assist with this enquiry please contact us on 101 and quote incident number 1085 of December 9.”
