A number of stamps have been stolen at the Melrose Abbey shop following a break-in over the weekend.
The incident happened between 6pm on Saturday 21 May and 9am on Sunday 22 May.
A number of stamps were stolen from the shop’s office, along with other items.
Police Inspector Robbie Noble said: “This has been carried out with some element of thought and care, so it’s possible someone may have seen a person acting suspiciously around the shop before this happened.
“It’s also possible the suspects left via Cloisters Road.
“I’m appealing to anyone who say anything suspicious there or perhaps saw people carrying bags or tools there on Saturday night or Sunday morning.”
