Remanded in custody
A 29-year-old man has been remanded in custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court after admitting being involved in a disturbance in Galashiels last month.
Michael Johnston, who gave an address in Newtown St Boswells, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
He also admitted breaching a court undertaking.
Sentence was deferred until next month for the production of background reports and Johnston was refused bail.
Johnston’s co-accused Elizabeth Steven, who is 37 and from Galashiels, pleaded not guilty to threatening or abusive behaviour.
Her trial date was fixed for December 17 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
