RAIDERS escaped with a haul valued at tens of thousands of pounds after breaking into a house in Haughhead Avenue, Earlston.
Expensive electrical equipment and a Porsche Cayenne 4x4 were taken sometime between 3pm on Sunday, February 27 and 9am on Sunday past.
The raiders also caused considerable damage to the property.
A police spokesman said: “The damage and the theft of such high-value goods has left the owner deeply distressed.
“Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in or around Haughhead Avenue is asked to contact us immediately.
“Similarly, anyone with information that can help us identify those responsible is also asked to get in touch as soon as possible.”
