Pensioner banned from road for 14 months for dangerous driving on A1 in Borders
A pensioner has been banned from the road for dangerous driving on the A1 in the Borders.
David Chadwick, 66, of Rose Crescent, Richmond, North Yorkshire, was convicted at Jedburgh Sheriff Court of overtaking on a single carriageway in extremely foggy and wet conditions without a reasonable view of the road ahead and colliding with an oncoming car, resulting in both vehicles being damaged.
That offence was committed on the A1 at Upper Burnmouth on September 24.
Chadwick was disqualified from driving for 14 months and fined £300.
