Brandon Bisset, 21, pleaded guilty to shouting and swearing and struggling with his partner at a house in Dalatho Crescent in Peebles on the morning of Tuesday, November 19.

Alan Wickham, prosecuting, told Selkirk Sheriff Court that a verbal altercation took place while they were out for a walk after the woman informed Bisset she planned to go for a night out over the festive period.

A struggle took place when they got back home, with Bisset at one point taking a young child from the woman’s arms.

Defence lawyer Colin Severin said his client now lives with his parents and the relationship concerned is over.

He added that Bisset, of Peebles, regretted his actions and the fact the matter had ended up in court.
