Newtown 37-year-old banned from road for a year for drink-driving near Melrose
A former soldier has been fined £300 and banned from the road for a year after admitting drink-driving last month.
Colin Malone, 37, of Dickson Drive in Newtown, pleaded guilty at Selkirk Sheriff Court to driving with a breath-alcohol count of 74 micorogrammes, the legal limit being 22, on the Melrose bypass on August 20.
