Man charged after armed attempted robbery in Galashiels
A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted armed robbery at a Galashiels shop.
He’s set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (Monday).
A police spokesperson said: “At around 3.35 pm on Sunday, August 2, a masked man entered the Premier Store in Scott Street, Galashiels.

Hide Ad“He threatened the shop assistant with a knife and demanded money, however, he left the shop empty-handed.
“A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted robbery a short time later.”
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
