Man admits drug dealing

A 35-year-old man has admitted a drug dealing charge after being stopped with £80,000 worth of heroin in Galashiels.
Police pulled over a van in Wood Street last January and recovered a large quantity of the class A drug.
John Dickson, from Coatbridge, pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to being concerned in the supply of heroin.
A not guilty plea to driving with no insurance was accepted by the Crown.
Sentence was deferred for the production of background reports until May 24 and Dickson was granted bail.
