Kelso 41-year-old admits assaulting ex and stealing bicycle

Background reports have been ordered on a 41-year-old man convicted of a series of offences at Selkirk Sheriff Court.

Terry Kennedy pleaded guilty to stealing a bicycle at the Borders General Hospital in Melrose on October 2 and assaulting a former partner in Kelso by punching and kicking her to the body.

Kennedy also admitted being found in the grounds of the Ednam House Hotel in Kelso on January 18 in circumstances inferring that he intended to commit theft and breaching bail by turning up at his former partner’s home and causing a disturbance on February 8.

Sentence was deferred on Kennedy, of Rennie Court in Kelso, until March 30.
