Innerleithen man charged with drink driving after being stopped two days in a row

A 55-year-old man from Innerleithen has been arrested and charged after two alleged incidents of drink driving ... in two days.

The first incident happened around 7.40 pm on Monday, January 11, when another driver alerted police to a silver vehicle being driven erratically near to the Cardrona junction on the A72.

The second incident happened on Tuesday when the same driver was again reported for driving erratically on the A72 in Peebles.

He was held overnight and appeared at Jedburgh Sheriff Court yesterday (Wednesday) and his car was seized.
