Galashiels 43-year-old admits getting behind wheel while almost five times legal alcohol limit but denies dangerous driving

A woman convicted of driving while almost five times the legal alcohol limit will not be sentenced for another four months.

Katarzyna Kosmala, 43, of Hawthorn Road in Galashiels, pleaded guilty to driving with a breath-alcohol count of 106 microgrammes , the legal limit being 22.

That offence was committed in Knoll Terrace and Queen Elizabeth Drive at Melrose Gait in Galashiels on December 14.

Sentence has been deferred until the outcome of a trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 13.

Kosmala has denied dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident to the police within 24 hours.
