Not-guilty pleas to four other charges were accepted by the crown.

Green had previously had sentence deferred in February for good behaviour, but when the case called again at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Monday this week, it was further deferred until Monday, October 5.

He had attacked the female constable, punching her in the face three times, as well as shouting and swearing, after being stopped by her and a male colleague because he appeared to be unsteady on his feet, a previous hearing was told.
