The two charges he was left facing were assault to injury with a domestic aggravation and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.

He was found guilty of committing the former offence in Galashiels in April.

Sentence was deferred until next Wednesday, July 15, for the production of background reports, and Murray was remanded in custody in the meanwhile.
