Gala teen pleads not guilty to assault charges

A teenager appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court to deny two assault charges.

Aqueel Aziz, 18, of Gala Park Court, Galashiels, is accused of, along with unknown others, assaulting two males at the town’s George Craig Bridge and Asda store on August 13.

He pleaded not guilty, and a trial was fixed for March 13, with an intermediate hearing on February 12.
