A man has been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after police recovered class A drugs in Galashiels.
Officers carried out a search of a property in Beech Avenue at around 2.20pm on Monday and say they recovered a quantity of diamorphine and a three-figure sum of cash inside.
A number of other items associated with drugs supply were recovered within the property and a 28-year-old man was subsequently arrested.
He will appear in court at a later date.
The total value of the drugs recovered is £1,600.
Chief Inspector Andrew McLean said: “As a result of an intelligence-led search at an address in Beech Avenue, officers recovered a sizeable quantity of the drug. We will continue to act on information from the public to identify those responsible for drug crime in the Borders and bring them to justice.
