Police were called to Orchard Park in Kelso on June 29 last year after receiving reports of Jamie Clark, 36, causing trouble.

A struggle ensued as they tried to apprehend him, though, and Clark, already bleeding from cuts to his left wrist, lashed out and struck one of the officers to the cheek, smearing his face with blood.
