25-year-old fined £400 for causing disturbance at Innerleithen social club

A man has been fined £400 for damaging a bench during a disturbance at an Innerleithen social club.

James Harkness, 25, of Caddon Court in Innerleithen, pleaded guilty to charges of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and also vandalism at the Vale of Leithen Social Club on January 27 last year.

Selkirk Sheriff Court was told he had since bought a replacement bench for the club.
