COUNTRY singer Declan Nerney makes the trip from the heart of Ireland to the border of Scotland this Monday.
Declan began his career when he was invited to play with a band in his County Longford homeland.
He performed in a series of other bands before starting his own group in the late 1980s.
His well known twanging guitar sound has been compared to American great and one of Declan’s heroes, Duane Eddy.
But Declan’s influences range from Scottish and Irish traditional music to Thin Lizzy, and he has so far recorded eight albums.
Declan Nerney appears at the Eildon Centre in Coldstream at 8pm, with tickets £12. Phone Eleanor on 01890 882235/883150 for further details.
