Controlling fiscal policy

It is my understanding that the Scottish Government believes that Scotland can be an entirely independent sovereign state, controlling its own fiscal policies without the need for its own currency.

This despite the fact that Greece was virtually bankrupt and several other EU euro-currency countries in a parlous state because they cannot control their fiscal policy.

What is even more disturbing is that the Tory opposition do nothing to enlighten the people about this disregard of the county’s welfare. Why? Are they themselves ignorant of the need to control fiscal policy for a thriving economy?
