Concerns growing for missing Galashiels 37-year-old

Concerns are growing for a Borderer missing for almost a week.

Police are appealing for help to track down Bob Cochrane, 37, reported missing in Galashiels on Monday, December 30.

He was last seen on Thursday, January 2, at around 12.30pm leaving Edinburgh’s Waverley train station and heading towards Princes Street.

His current whereabouts are unknown, and his friends and family are said to be becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Missing man Bob Cochrane, 37, of Galashiels.

Mr Cochrane is described as being white, about 5ft 9in tall and of slim build, with short grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a green hat, light brown jacket and blue jeans and was carrying a rucksack.

Inspector Brian Burns, of Galashiels police station, said: “Robert has been missing for a number of days now.

“This is completely out of character for him, and his friends are understandably worried about it.

“We have a number of police resources out looking for Robert, and I am now looking for the assistance from the public.”

Any sightings of Mr Cochrane can be reported to police on 101, quoting incident No 3,287 of January 2.
