An imaginary world of biscuits comes alive in a puppet show, The Gingerbread Man, at Selkirk’s Bowhill Theatre this weekend.
The family show, on Saturday, December 7, at 3pm, is based around the traditional tale of an old woman who bakes a gingerbread man, which comes to life, creating havoc wherever he goes, and fighting to outwit the big bad fox.
The Gingerbread Man puppet show is being staged by Clydebuilt, a Scottish puppet theatre company which describes the performance as: “a visual feast set inside a little Austrian wooden house.”
Helen Currie, house and events manager at Bowhill House and Country Estate, said: “The puppet show offers an excellent pre-Christmas festive afternoon for all of the family, and allows visitors across generations to be entertained within the intimate surroundings of the Bowhill Theatre.”
Tickets are priced at £5 (including the booking fee).
