Albert Roux said: “From the day we arrived, we felt like the people of Kelso really opened their arms and welcomed us to this beautiful part of the world.

“We really enjoyed hosting the events and meeting once again all those familiar faces who have helped make out time here so enjoyable.”

“The Borders needs this type of establishment to showcase world-class local produce from outstanding chefs.”

Since launching Chez Roux in the region, Albert Roux has also adopted his first Borders school through his pioneering Chefs Adopt a School initiative, a national charity formed as part of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and Service.

As part of the programme, Kelso’s Sprouston Primary School pupils will receive hands-on cooking experience with their super skilled mentors.

The Roux duo alongside luxury hotel company Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI) manage the Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course in Kelso as well as a number of prestigious establishments across Scotland including Andy Murray’s Cromlix, Greywalls and Rocpool Reserve.
