Many competitions were run during the day, such as, ‘Pinning the Tassels on the Lad and Lass’, tombola and ‘Splat the Rat’. There were sales tables, teas and a bar, as well as a chance to buy items made by Southdean Hall committee members.

Jethart Callant Nick Arnold opened the show and presented the cups, the winners of which were – Linda Falconer (‘In the Garden’), Janet Griffiths (‘Crafts’), Liz Duffell (‘In the Kitchen)’ and Fergus Falconer (children’s section).

Hall committee members worked hard to set up the show, including the marquee and the hall arrangements. The Southdean flag was flying and there were many volunteers and helpers who kept everything going so that everyone could have an enjoyable experience.
