Liberty Star trading in Selkirk has been shortlisted in the fashion and accessory category of the Scottish Independent Retail Awards 2015 .

Thousands of nominations flooded in for the fourth annual Scottish Independent Retail Awards. Voted for by the public, the awards highlight the value of independent retailers to the communities they operate within; recognising and rewarding the entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen which lies behind the thriving independent retailers.

Leanne Main told The Southern: “Caroline and I are delighted to be shortlisted, and it is even more special as it was our customers who voted for us. We will also be celebrating the first anniversary of our shop opening next week, so fingers crossed it is a double celebration.”

The Scottish Independent Retail Awards are all about supporting businesses who work within their local community.

The awards look to give a platform to the local communities from which to voice their admiration and loyalty to their independent retailer of choice.

The winner will be announced at a black tie event in Glasgow on Sunday, February 8.
