Border event organisers and local businesses involved in supplying them are invited to a ‘Meet The Supplier Show’ at Kelso’s Ednam House Hotel from 4.30-7.30pm on Wednesday, April 6.
The show, hosted by the Scottish Borders Events Forum, is an opportunity for event organisers to view the range of useful services on their doorstep – from venues, printers and caterers, to insurance specialists and PR.
Councillor Vicky Davidson, executive member for economic development, urged any business involved in supplying events to attend.
Councillor Davidson said: “2011 is a great year for events in the Borders, with the Tour of Britain, Kings of the Sevens Tournament, Jim Clark Rally, Festival of the Horse, Tweedlove, the David Hume Tercentenary and all our annual ridings, rallies and festivals.
“Events are a crucial part of the area’s tourism strategy and provide an excellent showcase of the Scottish Borders to new visitor markets.
“The Meet The Suppliers show will help give a boost to local businesses, and help supply event organisers with everything they need to know about what is available in the Scottish Borders.”
If you are an event organiser interested in networking, or a business keen to exhibit (stalls cost £10), email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 01835 825066.
