Twelve new apprentices have started work at Scottish Borders Council in the neighbourhood operations section.

This is part of an initiative to offer a total of 30 apprenticeships over a five-year period.

The 12 employees, who have joined SBC on two-year temporary contracts, are undertaking in-house training and formal parks, gardens and green space training at Borders College, working towards an SVQ.
