THE first of a series of public meetings to discuss the Borders Railway project starts today.
The community drop-ins will be a chance for Borderers to view the plans and speak to members of the team which are delivering the £300 million scheme, starting from 4pm to 8pm today in Stow Town Hall.
The roadshow will then move onto Old Gala House in Galashiels tomorrow, followed by MacFie Hall in Heriot on Wednesday.
After visiting Midlothian, the team return to Langlee Community Centre in Galashiels on November 29 and Tweedbank Community Centre on December 4.
Earlier this month, responsibility for the new 30-mile line was signed over to Network Rail, guaranteeing the railway will be delivered by 2015 at the latest.
