Borderer Jack up for BAFTA award
Borders actor Jack Lowden has been nominated in the rising star category in next month’s BAFTAS, which take place on February 2.
The Oxton man, aged 29, has come a long way since his breakout role in an Irn Bru commercial in 2009, going on to star in films such as Tommy’s Honour and Dunkirk.
But his nomination is for his role as Zak Knight in the Stephen Merchant movie Fighting With My Family.
He’s up against Awkwafina for her role in The Farewell, Kaitlyn Dever for Booksmart, Kelvin Harrison Jr for Luce, and Micheal Ward, for Top Boy.
