Art at home in the Haining during October exhibition

Haining at Home is part of a regular series of exhibitions, organised by the Haining Charitable Trust, local artists and creative business support network CABN, to display and promote the great variety of excellent craftsmanship being produced in the Scottish Borders.

The Haining At Home exhibition will showcase contemporary applied arts made in the Borders, offering glass from Inge Panneels, Lindean Mill and Linstead Glass; ceramics from Kinsman Blake, Robert Sutherland, Clair Norris and Helen Kemp; wood from Tom Hawson, Rankin Kinsman Blake, Adrian McCurdy and Real Wood Studios; textiles from Orwell & Goode; and stone from Natasha Smith.

As part of the exhibition, there will be three demonstrations of making-in-action; screen printing, wood and stone carving, as well as a guided walk through the Haining Estate looking at native wood species and how they can be used in furniture.

The event is supported through CABN and Craft Scotland, as part of the nationwide Meet Your Maker campaign.
