AN estimated 350 people took part in this year’s J. S. Crawford 3GL Borders Fun Run in Melrose on Sunday, raising thousands of pounds for the Borders branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The event, which started and finished at St Mary’s School, is held annually to raise money to help pay for therapies and raise an awareness of MS locally.

It attracted a wide range of participants including babies in prams, wheelchair users and lots of family dogs. A barbecue was held after the event and a great time was had by all. Michael Crawford, of J. S. Crawford 3GL, said: “This is the eighth year we have held the event and I was delighted with the turnout.

“It was another great day and everyone enjoyed themselves, so roll on 2012.”
