Action sought on antisocial behaviour

KELSO provost Fiona Scott was last week contacting local police to ask officers to crack down on antisocial behaviour.

Community councillors heard last Tuesday about youngsters stealing alcohol from the Tait Hall, and breaking into the toilets in Shedden Park and town centre.

Scottish Borders councillor Tom Weatherston said this sort of behaviour had been going on for years, adding: “Originally, the youngsters were kids, but they’ve left the school and they’re still playing around pavements on bikes, terrorising older people. They’re adults now and it’s a police job.”
