HERBAL cannabis with an estimated value of around £5,000 was recovered by police following raids on two houses in Peebles on Saturday.
In both properties, police say they executed search warrants and discovered the cultivation of marajuana, a class B drug.
At a house in Clark Place, cannabis worth between £2,700 and £3,000 was recovered and a 29-year-old local man was later charged with alleged offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Charges under the same legislation were brought against a 26-year-old man at the second property, in Connor Ridge, where the value of cannabis discovered was estimated at between £2,200 and £2,500.
Reports have been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
