Saturday sees the opening of the stunning walled garden at Glenburn Hall on the outskirts of Jedburgh.
The event is being staged by Glenburn Hall’s owners, Christopher and Nonie Ward, in aid of the Maggie’s day-care centres for cancer patients and will run from 2-6pm.
There will be a plant sale by Heathers of Jedburgh; cakes by Moira Liddle and the Jedburgh Ladies tea; coffee and cakes by Border Meringues and a display by Falconry Scotland.
There will also be a raffle with some fabulous prizes, including a day at the One Spa in Edinburgh; a trip to the Farne Islands; £100 in cash; a ‘hawk walk’ at Dalhousie Castle; and a family day at the local deer park.
Entrance to the garden opening is £1, with children admitted free.
