Runners followed two routes on Saturday, May 22, the club’s last race-day of the season, both going around the town’s Wilton Lodge Park, and five trophies were up for grabs.
Those prizes – the Will Clark Memorial Trophy for senior men, John Elliot Trophy for U15/U17 girls and ladies, Burns Club Trophy for U13/U15/U17 boys, Ian Watson Memorial Shield for U11 boys and Stan Reid Trophy for U11/U13 girls – will be handed over to their winners at the Albert Road club once Scottish Government regulations permit.
The fastest U11/U13 girl was Peyton Corrie, followed by Amber Smith and Leah Lavery.
The first U11 boy home was Ollie Lyall, with Roan Jamieson in second place and Callan Michie in third.
Ann Aitken won the women and older girls’ race, with Iona Jamieson as runner-up and Kirsty Scott third.
Charles McKay finished first in the U13/U15/U17 boys’ race, followed by Robbie Welsh and Thomas Macaskill.
The fastest senior man was Alan Inglis, followed by Paul Lockie and Ron Hastings.
Club spokesperson Rachel Halliday said: “This season has been totally different but we managed to complete all our races, some with the same course and some having to be changed.
“Thanks must go to the committee for their continued hard work to make sure these races were run and followed government and Scottish Athletics guidelines.”
