A Scottish Borders Council spokesman said that on Tuesday evening, “a single positive Covid-19 case was confirmed within the school community which resulted in the P5/P6 composite class being asked to self-isolate”.
He added: “Late last night, a small number of other positive cases were notified to the school, affecting a number of different class groups.
"At this time it is anticipated the closure will only be in place today.
“All staff and pupils should self-isolate as a precaution until such time as Test and Protect identify the close contacts of the positive cases."
