Delivered in English and Bulgarian, with intoxicating gypsy music, this beautiful performance fills an empty space with two performers, hundreds of fresh flowers and a storm of emotion.

Between them, the pair tell a difficult story as best they can – a true tale about a young girl’s brush with death, which gradually reveals their own relationship. It’s a performance that plays with the emotions of the audience, leaving many questioning the fragility of life.

One of a host of excellent reviews, Total Theatre Magazine described ‘Near Gone’ as “a near-perfect show. Wonderful performances by both actors. A beautifully crafted story told expertly through many means and forms – verbal, visual and physical”.

Community, identity and memory are ideas which percolate much of their work, and that’s certainly the case in this creative, inventive and hugely touching piece of theatre.
