On Friday, May 20 at 8pm, they will bring two classic stories by M.R. James to the stage at Bowhill Theatre, near Selkirk. ‘Casting the Runes’ is the story of a Bristish Museum researcher, who gradually realises that he has been cursed by an alchemist and occultist whose book he has recently reviewed.

‘Oh whistle, and I’ll come to you my Lad’ tells the tale of an introverted academic who finds a strange whistle while exploring a Knights Templar cemetery on the East Anglian coast. When blown, the whistle unleashes a terrifying supernatural force.

Tickets are £12, or £10 for under 16s. Call 01750 22204 or email [email protected]
