Hogmanay and New Year with The Land The Light The Locals
There’s still time to see out the old year and see in the new in style with the The Land The Light The Locals festival.
Highlights include an afternoon session on Auld Year’s Day at the Royal Hotel, Jedburgh. Later, the showcase event, the Hogmanay Ceilidh, will be held at Denholm School, where you can dance 2015 away to the sounds of the Blackthorne Ceilidh Band (pictured). The next day provides an opportunity to blow away any hint of a sore head with the New Year’s Day Walk. The reward for all the effort is the traditional Herds’ Supper at Ashkirk Village Hall, hosted by John Nichol and Hilary Bell.
