The business combines her love of the Borders countryside, her passion for drawing and an eye for beautiful paper goods, which she sells world-wide, including Japan and the USA.

To celebrate her success, she is running promotions and giveaways for customers, and donating 10% of her online sales in June to organisations that work to get people out into nature, such as Nature Unlimited.

She said: “I’ve had the best time building a business in the Borders. It is a wonderful place to live, work and bring up a family. I’m so excited for what the next 10 years will bring.”

She added: “I officially launched my business in 2011, but the story really began when I was a little girl growing up in the Borders countryside and was always bringing home pebbles and caterpillars and feathers and toads to draw.

"My mum said I needed to live in a paper factory rather than a house because I went through so much paper for my drawings.”

Hannah’s work reflects a deep connection with the countryside around her.

Using her pencil, she explores the hedgerows, fields, woods and rivers of the Borders countryside.

She aims for her drawings to be delicate and calm, carefully observed and filled with character. She would love to think that her work inspires others to look more carefully at the countryside, and perhaps to even have a go at drawing it themselves.
