YOUNGSTERS from Selkirk High School whipped up quite a whirlwind of excitement this week with their rendition of the musical, The Wizard of Oz.
And what a magical experience it was.
Natasha Simmonds shone in the starring role of Dorothy, with Darren Knox (Tinman), Philip Anderson (Scarecrow), and Neil Heatlie (Lion) ably filling the shoes of the lovable trio who step up to help her find her way to the Emerald City and, she hopes, home.
This production had all the excitement and drama of the original, with Robynn Gray playing the Wicked Witch with great passion, and Lily Ashrowan as the lovable Munchkin Mayor.
Audiences were treated to a fantastic show with the key players supported by a wealth of talent, including Jitterbug dancers, Ozians, Munchkins and Skeletons.
This was a fantastic effort by all involved, ending the term on a real high note.
