If you go down to the Haining woods on Saturday (August 16), you will be in for a big surprise, because that’s the day the Haining Charitable Trust (HCT) is holding its Teddy Bear’s Picnic and first Summer Fair.
The fun afternoon includes Peter Pepper Magic Show, games, storytelling, face painting, and a prize for the Best Dressed Teddy Bear. There will also be a selection of market stalls to offer a little retail therapy for adults.
This is the second Teddy Bear’s Picnic held at The Haining, and is all about fun, games and having a good time before school starts up again.
Carol Byers, The Haining’s events and communications manager, said: “It is great to see the Haining being used to benefit the community in this way, in-keeping with the directives of the HCT.
“The Haining Volunteers have been working very hard to bring it all together offering a packed programme right from gates opening at noon until the 5pm finish.”
