A NIGHT on the Pitch will return to Selkirk next month after a four-year absence.
The live music event was a success when first staged at Selkirk Rugby Club, attracting a crowd of about 1,500.
This year two Selkirk bands return home: the Darien Venture, pictured, top of page, and Immigrant Wagon.
Currently based between Ayr and Glasgow, Souters Liam Rutherford and Jonny Beveridge make up one-half of the Darien Venture, having previously been in metal band Kreeper. They are releasing an album, while preparing for their first appearance together in Selkirk.
A spokesman for A Night on the Pitch 2 said: “They excel in loud, triumphant anthems, mixing head-splitting heaviness with ambitious harmonies, and are putting the finishing touches to some new recordings.”
Originally from Selkirk and currently based in Glasgow, Immigrant Wagon have been self-producing tracks between cutting their teeth on the city’s vibrant live scene.
Galashiels covers band Crevis Inspection will perform classics to get the crowd warmed up.
Tickets will cost £6 for the event on Friday, May 11, and will be available shortly from newsagents in Selkirk.
